Ethel M. Hayes Scholarship, 1946
The Ethel M. Hayes Scholarship, founded by the Tufts Alumnae Association in 1946, in memory of Ethel M. Hayes, W1896, college librarian (1896-1943), is awarded to an undergraduate dependent to some extent on his or her own efforts to meet the cost of education and whose work throughout the preceding year has been of such excellence that he or she is deemed worthy of high academic distinction.
The Hayes Scholarship was originally intended for students of Jackson College but is now open to both male and female students.
