The chorus sang their very best To please the audience And Jack he loved his Mary so He climbed the bean-stalk high, It's really only a ladder you see And not to the clouds at all The giant he ain't ten feet tall But he's only wearing stilts Cho) And Miss Muffets dish is really very empty Mother Hubbards cupboard too is much the same But in spite of all these things We shall always always sing - Sing the praises of Miss Mary quite contrary

The robber chief and fairy queen Both love each other so The giant is Miss Muffets aunt Outside the show you know And old King Cole is a motorman On a one man car they say Mary's dead in love with Sinbad That's outside the show Cho) Now our acting's not our only occupation But so you'd think to see our playing on the stage But we've really tried quite hard We've rehearsed the blooming play In the hope of giving you an entertainment
