A parting of the way
A parting of the way
Sure, we've come far, we two, together on this road, Shared each other's trouble, born each other's load, Cried a bit, laughed a lot, and sung our happy song Though the road was weary and the way seemed long. Just because two roads are here, shall we break away, And walk two paths alone, and follow down the day Apart? The sun is sinking, darkening into night. I'll need you now, need you, more than in the light. Both roads lead to nowhere, if we travel them alone, But when we talk together, sure, we're always right at home. Let's stand here with our backs turned towards The land we've wandered from. See! The shadows point the way. Take my had and come. | |
