Hope
Hope
Among the forces of the earth, Ever strong, and in it's strength intact, Is youth's eternal hope That disregards a fact, Ignores the cruelties of life, Is always at the dawn Of some new glorious day, And will not admit defeat, Too oft men think the load of life is unbearable, But while they have the hope of youth, The way is clear before them, shining, To the goals of beauty, love, and truth. | |
