When I first came to Echo Lake My shaving mirror fell And started seven years bad luck. My nerves are shot to hell. When I returned - I had been sick - They all but tolled the bell. They had a grave all dug for me. My nerves are shot to hell. | |
And then that case of dynamite - Oh Lordy, how I fell. I didn't know 'twas filled with bricks. My nerves are shot to hell. | |
I have the jim-jams something fierce, And I don't feel so well, So back to college I will go. My nerves are shot to hell. | |
