You, who understood
You, who understood
That I was all amaze, and trouble Racked me, till I knew not where To turn or what to do, and demons Fought within me, raging there Until it seemed my body could not stand The spirit's anguish, - I could not let that show- But then You came, who understood, And soothed me, and You seemed to know My doubt an weaknesses and all Your quiet strength surrounded me, And gave me courage to look up And smile, and with a few words made me see The right, and calmed away my fears And doubts, and better than another could, For You had strength , and quiet, will to do, And made me clean and whole - you who understood. | |
MORNING | |
