Youth, seeking to keep high ideal,

Lifts his fair face to the blinding light,

Sees clearly beyond his little world

Far to a hard won windy height.

He holds to the path and passes by

All dangers, wins i the lesser fights,

And follows his fate, still forward

And upward on toward the far-off lights,

He meets with success and with defeat

Familiar grows, and respects them less:

He knows how to bravely turn away

And further to seek, and onward press.

his face still turned to the distant hills

Brightly reflects with the hope of youth.

He highly desires, and highly strives,

Prays, and keeps pure, believes in Truth.
