The word [Bird of the morning sea]
The word [Bird of the morning sea]
Over the water flew a gull, Bird of the morning sea, on wings That carried him up like music Played on a violin's clear strings.
High on the wind he soared and wheeled. He flew as if for flying's sake, And though this hurt with beauty only, Yet it seemed my heart must break.
Over the water flew a gull. I wished that I might find one word To say to you beside me there, Or for a moment be that bird.
