A man's club
A man's club
The only good place for a man to be On a snowy night like this, Is stretched in a chair before the fire, Watching the crackle and hiss Of the warming flame, And right by his hand, some drink. No place like the club - No place so pleasant, I think, Where a man feels contented, Protected and safe And away from the wintry breeze. Yes, the club is the place - But not for a poor man like me. I've got to stand on this corner- and freeze. | |
