At camp-fire
At camp-fire
Here where the sudden firelight slips And bannered flame flares and dips In crimson glory - here where heat Rolls out against the faces Circled, young and bright, about, And the pine trees, ghostly black Whisper in the night with-out - Here are friends, and quiet ways, Memories of golden days, And the dear companionship Born of camp-ways and the night Nursed by trees and camp-fire Here the curved blue night leans down Tenderly o'er our forest town.... | |
