Girl with a Spanish shawl (a picture)
Girl with a Spanish shawl (a picture)
Roses and lace fall Over your shoulder and over your arm. Flame leaps from the flower In your smooth hair, From your black eyes, harm To the hot heart. Red crystals fall beneath your ears And lie warm against your throat. Behind you there should float A rich cloud of blossom-petals Falling when you move, as scarlet-sweet As the slow fluttering of your fan About your cheeks. The passionate violins ran Trembling down the scale To see you dance, to see your feet Follow the castanets, To see your white arms life and fall. Roses and lace, roses and lace..... Girl with a Spanish shawl. | |
