The hour
The hour
You have not spoken all this lonely hour.
I was out of myself away from here. I know. I saw it in your clouded eyes. Where did you go, away from this, and me?
I went down out of this bright fire-lit room, Warm with our lives, and brave things we have said, Down from the silver tower of our love, And exultation of the sun and wind. And no one went beside me through the dark. None could....not even thou, beloved one, To whom I am come back, stronger and whole. gown to the level world alone I went And I walked the rainy streets of my mind.
