I cry to the world From a windy hill And the wind bears down my shout. I cry to the world And the world looks up To see what the cry is about. I cry to the wise for knowledge; To the rich I cry for gold; I call to the shining figures Of the brave, the strong, and the bold. I ask of the good their virtue, Of the watcher by night, of the day; Of the doers of deeds, their secrets, And the finders of paths, the way. I cry to the strong for strength, And this is the challenge I hurl: You who have, must give of it freely. I am Youth, and I cry to the world. | |
