The grace of god
The grace of god
When little things your patience try: Bills owed, a task undone, An error made in time gone by, Hard work, no chance for fun; And bad luck comes at every turn, Hopeless, you cease to fight, Look at the man who never learned When young, the wrong or right, Who knows more of the dark in life, Than you, the pure and light.
And say with prayer and thoughtful nod There but for the saving grace of God I go.
