JOHN E. BUCHER, PH. D.
JOHN E. BUCHER was born in one of the small towns of Pennsylvania, August 17, 1872. His early education was received in the public schools there, and when fifteen years of age he spent a year in the State Normal School at Millersville. He then spent three years at Lehigh University, making Chemistry his principal study, and graduated in 1891 with the degree of A. C. 159 | 1892-93 served as Assistant in Quantitative Analysis. He received the degree of Doctor of Philosophy from Johns Hopkins, and came to Tufts as Instructor in Organic Chemistry in the Fall of 1894. |
