This thesis aims to find the relationship between violence against women and violence among international states. This question is based upon the assumption that those who represent states at war are also the very men that interact with women on the grass-roots level. Are states that have higher rates of gender-based violence more war-prone? Do these states also experience sexual violence during ... read morewartime? By finding the relationship between these two levels, we can reveal the underlying causes of violence against women, both at home and away at war.
