He graduated from Tufts University in 1976.</abstract><p>Jonathan Tisch is Co-chairman of the Board and a member of the Office of President of Loews Corporation and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of its subsidiary Loews Hotels. He graduated from Tufts University in 1976.</p><p>Jonathan Tisch was born December 7, 1953 in Atlantic City, New Jersey to Robert Preston Tisch and Joan Hyman. Tisch. He and his brother Steve attended Tufts College; Jonathan graduated with his BA in 1976.</p><p>Tisch became CEO of the Loews Corporation, founded in 1946 by brothers Robert Preston Tisch and Lawrence Tisch. He started joined the company in 1980, after a successive string of jobs held his father's hotels over time. He was named president of the Lowes Hotes in 1986 and CEO in 1989. In 1998, Tisch was appointed to the newly created Office of the President for Loews Corporation.</p><p>In 2004, Tisch wrote a book called "The Power of We: Succeeding Through Partnerships," which became a bestseller. His second book, "chocolates on the Pillow Aren't Enough: Reinventing the Customer Experience" was published in March 2007 and was named a finalist for the Quill Awards' Best Business Book of the Year." </p><p>In 2006, he donated $40 million to Tufts University to fund the Jonathan M. Tisch College of Citizenship and Public Service. His family also donated $21 million to the Wessell Library, at which point it was renamed the Tisch Library. Tisch is currently the host of television show "Beyond the Boardroom with Jonathan Tisch," which has been nominated for an Emmy. Tisch also founded Walnut Hill Media, a media venture company; he serves on the Board of Trustees for Tufts University and he is also the Treasurer of the New York Giants Football Team.</p><p>Tisch married Laura Steinberg in 1988; they divorced in 2000. Tisch remarried Lizzie Rudnick in 2007. He has no children.</p></biogHist>
