As a whole, the series examines theological histories, material renovations, changes in institutional leadership, and student-led re-boundings of spaces and sacredness. It offers a view of Goddard Chapel that depicts the space and office as a source of ethical leadership during Tufts’ growth as an institution of higher education, and John examines the ways in which the physical building has become an icon for the contemporary ethos of religious pluralism.
