"A plant meal" is an exploration of the knowledge we carry about plants and how we come to know plants through the stories and work we tell/do in the kitchen. The project culminated in a meal in which Madeline and Ana Sofia invited friends to an ‘intimate and unfamiliar’ meal in which the co-creators told stories about plants; shared poems, paintings, and zines about our plant ingredients; and asked the guests to shift their attention toward their feelings and relationships to the experience of sharing different plant-based dishes. This artist book contains the artifacts shared with the "a plant meal" guests, and reflections on the entire project process.read less
