This study was geared toward preparing the means to create silk microneedle arrays with the dimensional characteristics necessary to pierce human skin to a depth which will allow effective transdermal drug delivery. The results of this experiment demonstrated that silk microneedle array fabrication is a promising endeavor and that silk microneedle arrays demonstrated that needle arrays made of silk yield needles of desirable dimensions as well as structural integrity. %G eng %[ 2022-10-07 %9 text %~ Tufts Digital Library %W Institution
