Myoblast differentiation was optimized in a novel seeding construct using extracellular matrix proteins. Myoblasts were then co-cultured with neural tissues in two and three dimensions. Results indicate that these 3D co-culture conditions produce significant increases in axonal length and myoblast differentiation efficiency.
