My research covers the most relevant international laws regarding the Syrian conflict, document the damage sustained to cultural heritage, identify the key players and organizations in the conflict, and compile national and international responses. Through my research, I will show that international laws governing CPP in the event of armed conflict and current CPP strategies are too limited to be effective in modern conflicts. By analyzing the responses and the theoretical implementation of international law, I have made recommendations to improve CPP strategies and potential remedies to the obstacles facing the effective implementation of CPP law and measures.read less
