1. A new enhanced classification of the various women's sexual dysfunctions is presented. Proposals for the addition of "structural discomfort with sexual intercourse due to pelvic organ prolapse and/or urinary incontinence" and of "positional dyspareunia," are be offered. Additionally, a single inclusive etiologic-diagnostic-therapeutic entity called "sexual steroids insufficiency syndrome of ... read moremenopause (SISM)" integrating sexual desire dysfunction of menopause with genitourinary syndrome of menopause (GSM) is introduced. [This terminological inclusion (SISM) should not interfere with GSM as a separate acronym that mostly concentrates on the physical urogenital changes of menopause, including dyspareunia]. 2. The etiology of the various female sexual dysfunctions is analyzed, with special emphasis on the etiology and management controversies regarding sexual desire dysfunction (Testosterone insufficiency); it is about time that American midlife women stop being treated by the FDA as 2nd grade sexual citizens! 3. A new schematic academic "model" as a clinical tool (ACT) for the treatment of women's sexual dysfunctions within the 15-minutes-slots gynecological offices visits, is offered. The "model" also encompasses the newly above-described proposed entities.
