West Europeans View U.S. Role as Dominant but Necessary.

United States. Department of State. Office of Research.

Mendrala, Nancy.

2002

Description
  • The media has expressed increasing concern about a growing trans-Atlantic rift. While European publics perceive the U.S. as unilateralist, this view has not increased in recent months. Although public support has tapered slightly after a post-September 11 boost, Europeans still value U.S. leadership and trans-Atlantic ties.
