More renewable energy resources on the grid offer hand-in-glove opportunities for storage due to variable nature of renewable generation, which further burdens already inefficient grid operations. However, storage industry faces technical, economic and regulatory barriers, which will have to be overcome to encourage large-scale adoption.

economics and barriers, and provides prescriptions for possible
