This research analyzes the effects of Ionic strength, electrolyte species, and porous media on polymer coated, iron oxide nanoparticle transport. Berea and Bentheimer intact sandstone cores were chosen as porous media for their compositional differences and because, they represent reservoirs in which the majority of oil is found.; Thesis (M.S.)--Tufts University, 2018.; Submitted to the Dept. of Civil Engineering.; Advisor: Kurt Pennell.; Committee: John Germaine, and Natalie Capiro.; Keyword: Environmental engineering. %[ 2022-10-12 %9 Text %~ Tufts Digital Library %W Institution
