  • The U.S. Senate's recent 80-19 vote to admit the Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland into NATO has added momentum to the alliance-wide ratification process for the current round of NATO enlargement. Recent USIA surveys indicate that key west European publics support the pending round of NATO enlargement, but are more divided on additional enlargement in the coming years.
