Abstract: This study explored the contribution of neighborhood processes and resources to Latino immigrant youth's reading and math achievement, emotional and behavioral problems, and extra-curricular involvement. In general, results of multilevel models suggested that neither individual immigrant status nor neighborhood foreign-born concentration moderated association between neighborhood processes and youth outcomes. Results raise questions about the purported unique role of neighborhood context for immigrant youth's development.
