While primary areas of discussion changed over the course of the semester, a constant topic throughout was how to make a well-constructed podcast, or what works or doesn't work in any given podcast episode. While podcasting is gaining influence in academic settings, it has yet to breakthrough and become a staple. In order to decide the specific focus of the course I listened to a wide variety of music podcasts. It was my aim to find a topic that is relevant to the students. After a few months of entertaining and thought-provoking podcast listening I still could not make a decision. One day the answer became obvious, that the unifying content of the course should be, in fact, about music and sound podcasts.
