Abstract: Kishwar Naheed's Urdu poetry addresses a number of distinctly feminist themes, yet Naheed resists her public image as a feminist. Her rejection of the feminist label is also a politicized decision as Naheed positions herself outside of the feminist debate in Pakistan in order to make her ideas relevant to many classes of women.
