This study investigated the relationship between both sets of brain changes and various domains of cognition over a two year period in individuals with mild cognitive impairment, a necessary intermediate stage before Alzheimer's disease. Our results confirm the relevance of studying white matter changes in mild cognitive impairment as this pathology may suggest a secondary, concurrent pathway to AD development. %[ 2022-10-07 %~ Tufts Digital Library %W Institution
