On the other hand, the second part explores an archaeological perspective on the Mycenaean Bronze Age regarding the formative cultural aspects relating to seafaring, referenced in Book 5. Through focusing on the Uluburun, a 1300 BC Mediterranean shipwreck, this thesis connects the impacts of trade, ship masonry, bronze metallurgy, and textile production on the Mycenaean lifestyle to the historical memory voiced within the Odyssey.read less
