The Tufts University Conference Bureau, now known as Tufts University Conference and Events Services, was established in 1973 to provide "business, industry, government, professional associations, and special interest groups with individualized conference services." The department is in charge of coordinating personalized services for conferences, workshops, academic programs, summer activities, and other organizations that host events through Tufts University. The department also organizes and facilitates special events for the University itself, including Parents and Family Weekend and Commencement. Services provided by Conference and Events Services include dining and catering, housing and accommodations, facilities and amenities, as well as access to local areas. In late 2014 or early 2015, the office changed its name to the Tufts University Conference and Events Services.
