The collection contains subject files, committee records, administrative and student records from the plan of study program, publications from the Office of the Dean of Undergraduate Studies, and records from the Dean of Undergraduate Education.
This collection is organized into eight series: Subject files; Committees; Publications; Plan of study; Student files; Degree sheets; Dean of Undergraduate Education records; and Unprocessed accessions.
The Office of Undergraduate Education provides educational programs, academic support, and opportunities for research and post-graduate fellowships for graduate students and undergraduates in the schools of Arts and Sciences and Engineering. This office oversees undergraduate academic policy, degree requirements and the senior degree certificate, academic support and pre-major advising, and orientation events for the various schools within Tufts. As of 2014, the office was renamed the Office of Academic Advising and Undergraduate Studies after the merge of the offices of the Associate Deans of Undergraduate Education, the Academic Resource Center, and the professional advising staff. As of March 2020, the office was renamed from the Office of the Dean of Undergraduate Education to the Office of Undergraduate Education.

Office of Undergraduate Education Records, 1940 -- 2018. Tufts University. Digital Collections and Archives. Medford, MA.
In the plan of study series, there is a divider indicating "current students," between folders 81 and 82 (between date ranges 78-82 and 83-85) which I believe is in the correct location, but there is another divider indicating "withdrawn students," which seems to have been moved at some point because it is now at the end of the box. An internship folder in Box 6 contains correspondence dating from 77-80. The internship booklet in Box 12 was added with the publication series. ACL folders (Plan of study course number) from subject files were moved to the plan of study series because they contained the same material as the administrative files in the plan of study series. Committee Folders found in the Subject Files were moved to the Committee Files series. Within subject files, files of sample mailings were relabeled so that they would all be together under 'Mailing, etc.' For example "Freshmen mailing, Fall '78" was reworded as "Mailing, Freshmen, Fall '78". In October 2020, Jane Kelly, Records and Accessioning Archivist, processed accession 2011.050, the Dean of Undergraduate Education records.
