Rethinking Sexual Consent: Why “Yes Means Yes” is not Enough

Brewster, Tala H.
2016

This paper discusses the problems associated with using a consent-based framework to think about sexual assault. Rather than focusing on consent in our discussions of sexual assault policy reform, the author proposes using a different model, the dual-responsibility negotiation model, which focuses on mutual desire and reciprocity.
