HEALTH GROUPS PETITION OSHA TO PROHIBIT SMOKING IN INDOOR WORKPLACES

Press release from the American Public Health Association detailing a petition from two national health groups to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requesting an emergency ban on smoking in the workplace. Notes that a previous request to OSHA was denied but was also presented prior to the publication of many research findings on the dangers of passive smoking.
