The New England Medical Center (NEMC) was established in 1930 through an alliance with the Boston Dispensary, the Boston Floating Hospital for Children, and the Trustees of Tufts College. It is the principle teaching hospital for the School of Medicine and the School of Dental Medicine. It was renamed the Tufts-New England Medical Center in 1968.
