  Selected Murrow Scripts 1938 -- 1950

Note by Susanne Belovari, February 13, 2007: these scripts were collated later on, at least as late as Murrow's time at the USIA or even after his death. See here the introduction of the script from February 9, 1951 which talks about Murrow's work for the USIA. Scripts are introduced by an anonymous commentor. Texts were retyped for this compilation: they lack all editing marks by Murrow. Select pages were replaced by inserting pages of different paper quality, lines are replaced by ' ... ' It is impossible to ascertain how closely these retroactive compilations reflect original scripts and what was broadcast on the radio unless one compares each compiled script with original scripts and broadcasts when available. Also included are scripts not aired. Also included are scripts not aired.
