The showman and circus founder P.T. Barnum (1810-1891) was one of the founding trustees of Tufts College. The digital collection is a selection of items from the Phineas Taylor Barnum papers, 1818-1993. Highlights include photographs of Barnum Hall, Barnum circus characters, and Jumbo the elephant, as well as Jumbo memorabilia such as advertising cards and other illustrations.
