Max Tennis theater playbill collection, 1935-1980


This collection has:

39 bound volumes

Max Tennis (1894-1987) received his bachelor's from Tufts in 1916, his MD from Harvard Medical School in 1922, and continued to study pediatric medicine in London, Berlin, and Vienna, among other cities. Working as pediatrician in Boston, he was also on the staff at several local hospitals, among them Beth Israel and Boston's Children's Hospital. Given his enjoyment of the arts, he also worked as "consulting physician for various companies performing in Boston."
